The Bunny Family Cookbook

Illustration | Graphic Design | Typography

Project Objective: Design a cookbook, ensuring its recipes, graphics, and the other ancillary information, work together as part of a coherent concept, that brings the story, the foods, and the dishes to life, while considering the hierarchy of the typography, professional typesetting of the main text, the connection between text and images, and the continuity of all pages.

Process: Driven by the goal of creating a cohesive narrative experience, I initiated the project by developing a comprehensive mood board to define a visual direction—focusing on character, color and typography styles.

After group decisions, I illustrated the front cover which set the voice for the rest of the group. I chose a specific color theme and illustration style so that when my teammates worked on their pages, the whole book looked cohesive. I also handled the technical side of the layout using Adobe InDesign creating the table of contents and introduction.

Working with a tight deadline, my group focused on making the book cohesive and friendly with the right typography, making it easy for parents to read quickly while cooking, having all four: breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert and a fun page for kids to keep busy.

SIFF Girl — Movie Poster

Illustration | Printing | Graphics

Process: For this project I explored Infinite Painter, a digital painting app in which I created my first digital artwork as the foundation of my movie poster.

I started with deciding upon a retro new wave style, creating a moodboard and sketching a variety of ideas from which I moved to Infinite Painter working with layers, pens and colors. Afterwards I moved back and forth between Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

I used Photoshop to play with colors and create contrast, in Illustrator I changed logos I was provided from RGB to CMYK and to colors I needed, and InDesign hosted working layouts combining all elements of the art piece together.

Project Objective: Design a professional poster for an Independent Film Festival—a fictional but realistic film festival. This project will help master advanced InDesign skills including layout design, typography hierarchy, image manipulation, and sponsor logo integration.

Physalis Lamp

Product design

Project Objective: Design, Document, and Fabricate a small Luminous Object, while exploring the relationship between Narrative, Form, Materiality, and Value—from concept to fabrication.

Process: The Physalis Lamp began with a nature-inspired concept, translating the delicate structure of the physalis fruit into a functional, modern lighting piece. My process involved balancing organic forms such as the intricate metal wire husks and elegant branches with the geometric lines of a Birch plywood base. To achieve this, I moved from initial sketches to multiple cardboard mock-ups, refining the scale and stability of the design.

The fabrication merged traditional woodworking with modern techniques like laser cutting for the branches and 3D printing for the light sockets and internal mechanisms. A part of the development was an iterative improvement phase where the magnetic mount was replaced with a custom 3D-printed twist-lock mechanism to enhance durability and introduce an interactive dimming element.

Donut Coffee Shop

Architecture | Interior Planning

Project Objective: Develop the functional space for a Donut shop using the intersections of two shipping containers. Use LayOut to create floor plans and elevations to then build a scale model.

Process: This project focused on developing the functional space for a Donut shop using the intersections of two shipping containers. Facing challenges as a "two-cut" structural limit and keeping the small space functional and open.

I used LayOut to create floor plans and elevations to then create a scale model. These files were then prepared in Illustrator for laser-cutting the container components and furniture from task board.

For the graphics, we employed an acetone-and-cotton method to transfer toner-based designs directly onto materials before assembling everything with glue.

Seawall Conversation

Experiential Design | Exhibit | Graphics

Project Objective: Collaboratively develop, design, and build an exhibition with the Seawall Conversation, featuring an open dialogue on reimagining the Seawall. The design process included collaborating with other teams to develop and fabricate four interconnected sections, ensuring a cohesive visual and spatial experience. The design included providing spatially accurate layout plans, material selections, and fabrication details.

Process: Drawing from our research on the Seawall, my team collaborated to design an interactive exhibit component focused on meaningful community engagement. We developed a feedback system that invites visitors to contribute their own ideas and visions for the Seawall by writing them on cards and adding them to a collective display, transforming the exhibit into a living conversation.

My role as the lead was to keep on top of the schedule, making sure everyone was able
to work on there tasks with supporting them to the best of my ability. I also helped with the initial design—3D model, 3D printing components and the execution of the final physical model.
