Graphic Designer

Thoughtful | Interpretive | Intentional

A thoughtful and interpretive vision shaping narratives into intentional form,
where high detail safeguards the soul within.

A24 Magazine

Typography | Printing | Editorial

Objective: Design a 4-page magazine considering how text and design conveys meaning; employing text hierarchies as a way to navigate; selecting appropriate typeface pairings; creating effective image and text combinations; and creating visual continuity from page to page.

Inspired by the visual language of cinematic storytelling and editorial design, I explored how tension, structure, and narrative could be expressed through experimental grid systems and typographic contrast in this magazine spread.

Utopia

Graphics | Branding | Packaging

Objective: Design a brand and packaging to introduce a new line of locally produced organic products, targeted at a young and urban audience.

For this project, I designed packaging for a non-alcoholic edible brand inspired by cocktail culture. The series blends geometric design with the vibrant pulse of the city, while the candies reflect the quiet beauty of Vancouver through organic, plant-based ingredients and mocktail-inspired flavours.

The project was awarded an Applied Arts Student Award and featured in the Applied Arts Student Annual 2025.

Film Festival Poster

Printing | Graphics | Illustration

Objective: Design a professional poster for an Independent Film Festival—a fictional but realistic film festival. This project will help master advanced InDesign skills including layout design, typography hierarchy, image manipulation, and sponsor logo integration.

For this project, I explored how fragmentation and visual rhythm can transform my illustration into a dynamic sequence. By slicing and layering the image, the composition creates movement, controlled chaos, and an unsettling distortion of the poster.

The Frame of Reference

Experiential | Paper Crafting

Objective: Inspired by a lottery choice of random magazine images,
create a composition using a wide variety of techniques, methods and
materials. The emphasis is on reflecting the images’ experiential context
through 3D visual storytelling.

I approached the design with a brutalist, architectural aesthetic, painting the panels to imitate concrete and using black foam core to create depth, drama, and a tactile human quality that can be appreciated from multiple angles.
